Keith Rodgers, Co-founder, Webster Buchanan Research

Keith is co-founder of Webster Buchanan Research and chair of Webster Buchanan’s Multi-country Payroll Forum. Having focused for much of his career on the interface between technology and business need in finance, HR and payroll, Keith led Webster Buchanan’s push into the multi-country payroll field. He has carried out extensive research among companies at every stage of the multi-country payroll cycle, and consults on multi-country payroll strategy, business development and vendor selection.

After a career in London, Keith has spent the best part of this decade in San Francisco, California, where he set up Webster Buchanan's US operations. In January 2009 he moved to Singapore where he currently runs Webster Buchanan's AsiaPac operations. Prior to founding Webster Buchanan Research in 2001, Keith was UK Managing Director and then US President of TBC Research, a research and consultancy company.

Alan Wigley, Founder, Global Payroll Solutions and Vice-chair (EMEA) of Webster Buchanan's Multi-country Payroll Forum

Alan is an independent consultant with an extensive record of running international payroll projects. He has implemented multi-country payroll projects at three major multinationals, managing payrolls across EMEA of up to sixty thousand employees, and working with a variety of systems and payroll service providers.

As well as developing best practices and meeting country-specific legislative requirements, Alan has project-managed significant change initiatives, including two payroll relocations and implementation of a centralized in-house payroll. He has also designed and implemented Sarbanes Oxley procedures for HR and Payroll within France, Germany and the UK.

Based in the UK, Alan was formerly chair of the UK’s Institute of Payroll Professionals.

David is Research Director of Webster Buchanan, operating from its head office in the UK. He has extensive experience in research across the Finance, HR and Payroll sectors, and has run many of Webster Buchanan's practitioner-driven projects. Focusing on the interaction between technology and business need, David's specialist areas include shared services, IT infrastructure and enterprise business software. David is co-author of Webster Buchanan's Multi-country Payroll Review, and Webster Buchanan's Payroll Performance Scorecard.

Prior to joining Webster Buchanan Research, David was Content Director of TBC Research.

Ray is Employee Services Director for Dell APJ & EMEA, and Vice Chair of Webster Buchanan’s Multi-country Payroll Forum.

Ray is widely recognized as one of the most advanced practitioners in the multi-country payroll sector, and is a keynote speaker at leading international events. His past eight years in Finance & HR have seen him leading the consolidation and re-engineering of shared services functions, including payroll, across EMEA & AsiaPac, covering 50+ countries.

With 20 years experience in the multinational environment Ray has gained regional and global experience in a broad range of disciplines including change management, organizational design & development, people management, business process re-engineering, vendor management, controls & compliance, cost management, project management, project transformation and customer service.

Michelle Whitfield, Director, EMEA & APAC Payroll at Honeywell and vice chair of Webster Buchanan's Multi-country Payroll Forum

Recognized as one of the most experienced practitioners in multi-country payroll, Michelle has over 12 years’ experience in the international payroll arena.

Michelle leads the operational delivery of payroll for Honeywell in EMEA and APAC and is in the 3rd year of a major payroll transformation project in EMEA. The initiative is a multi-million dollar investment in the standardization, automation and consolidation of payroll operations for 80% of the EMEA employee population to a single platform.

To date, Michelle has designed and developed a range of contemporary payroll delivery models, from on-premise enterprise software to best-shoring and outsourcing. They have been successfully implemented in manufacturing, services and local government environments.

Prior to working at Honeywell, Michelle held positions within several global companies, where her responsibilities included supporting up to 140,000 employees on a single payroll platform and providing a best-of-breed payroll platform delivery across EMEA. Michelle has operated both as the delivery leader for internal payroll provision and also as an outsourcing leader.
